Nurture Team
Our Nurture Team is a group of caring people, who give and receive
support, share life experiences and grow spiritually. We help each
other in the way that Christ has taught us to care for others.
Our mission is to care for our church congregation and others
outside our church.
We provide:
- Meals to those in need
- Visits to those who are shut in
- Greeting cards and flowers to those who are ill
- Rides to church and appointments
Social events:
- Super Bowl party
- Mother's Day breakfast and crafts for children
- Father's Day PawSox baseball game
As part of our nurturing program, several members of the
nurture team have joined others in the congregation in
making prayer shawls for those in need.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The creation of loving prayer shawls for people needing the
warm arms of concern wrapped
around them is the mission of the First United Methodist Church’s Prayer
Shawl Ministry. Prayer shawls are a tangible evidence of the love and
prayers that have been expressed for the recipient.

Our Youth Ministry is a co-operative ministry with 2 neighboring United Methodist
Churches, Wesley UMC in Framingham and Community UMC in Wayland.
